About Nurture Studio

Nuture Studio is a boutique yoga studio located in Northern Virginia.  The studio offers a variety of small group classes as well as private sessions catering to the individual needs of each student.

The Philosophy

Human beings seek connection with one another.  We look for recognition, eye contact, approval and praise. Yoga teaches us to look within ourselves for these things.

My goal for the time spent with my student is that they be present and comfortable in their own physical body.  I work to engage and implement their breath in a way that keeps them present in this time we spend together.  Recognizing the physical body, the breath (prana life force) brings all human beings to the great knowledge that we are all truly one. We all share the need for this connection to ourselves and others.

The yoga mat represents a place where we safely come to unite the body, breath and spirit within each of us. It does not have to be a mat, it can be a chair. All that is important is that it be a place to create a moving meditation of breath, recognition of self and knowledge of  what best serves us and what does not serve us.

Pamela Rosenthal, Founder

Pamela Warner Rosenthal is E-RYT 500 certified yoga instructor.  She has been practicing throughout her life and has been teaching both group and private classes, as well as workshops for more than 15 years.  Pamela comes to yoga with a background in the wellness industry. She has been a licensed Master Esthetician for 25 years, having owned her own business serving clients in skin, nutritional and body health awareness.

Pamela’s teaching style focuses on a non-competitive approach, with a focus on breath, function over form, and dynamic and static movement.  What matters in the practice of yoga is the inner experience and its effects on the body, not the outer form of the pose.
The main goal in her work with students is to promote staying healthy through mid-life and beyond.
